Chris and Liz Pereira grew up and raised their kids in Central Maine. Liz lived in Bar Harbor (home of Acadia National Park), and worked as an office manager for a local architect and later for local masonry contractor. Chris started his career in carpentry building custom homes in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and moved back to Maine to work on construction of custom summer cottages and oceanside estates in Bar Harbor. In 2011, they met as co-workers at a luxury yacht manufacturer, Liz at the time a purchasing manager and Chris the lead carpenter on a series of 36' sail boats. In 2013, Chris returned to his roots to construct custom cabinetry and build custom homes in Bar Harbor and along the coast of Maine, while Liz embarked on a new career path that led her to grant writing for an environmental engineering firm.

Both Chris and Liz love the outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking, and Chris is an avid fly fisherman. They moved to Kodak, TN in 2020, drawn by the beauty of the land, genuineness of the people in East Tennessee, Southern comfort food and sweet tea, and of course.....no snow. They also share a love of architecture, design, and antiques.
